Experience the dramatic landscapes, rich cultures, wildlife sanctuaries, and historic highlands of Kenya on this 8-day Great Rift & Highland Heritage Safari. Journey through the breathtaking Great Rift Valley, explore freshwater and alkaline lakes, discover colonial-era highland estates, encounter diverse wildlife, and immerse yourself in Kenya’s cultural heritage. This safari combines nature, history, scenic beauty, and authentic local experiences, making it ideal for travelers seeking more than a traditional wildlife safari. The itinerary highlights Kenya’s famous Rift Valley lakes, volcanic landscapes, mountain highlands, and cultural communities.
Experience the vibrant soul of Kenya on a journey that balances urban discovery with the raw majesty of the wild. This immersive ground expedition begins in the heart of Nairobi, offering a deep dive into the city’s rich history and wildlife conservation efforts before descending into the dramatic landscapes of the Great Rift Valley. From the bustling streets of the capital to the golden plains of the Maasai Mara, you will witness the seamless transition from a modern metropolis to the ancient rhythms of the African savannah.
As the journey unfolds, you will encounter the shimmering pink horizons of Lake Nakuru, a sanctuary for rhinos and flamingos, before ascending into the misty, cool highlands of the Aberdares. Staying at the legendary Ark, you’ll enjoy a front-row seat to nature’s nightly theater from the comfort of your balcony. This itinerary is designed for the traveler who seeks a comprehensive Kenyan story—one that pairs world-class game viewing with cultural heritage, volcanic vistas, and the unique charm of the central highlands.
