7-Day MARA RIVER CROSSING-WILDERBEEST MIGRATION

The Mara River Crossing is the most dramatic and iconic phase of the Great Wildebeest Migration, often referred to as the “Greatest Wildlife Show on Earth.” Every year, more than 1.5 million wildebeest, accompanied by hundreds of thousands of zebras and gazelles, move through the Serengeti-Mara ecosystem in search of fresh grazing and water. The highlight of this journey occurs when the herds brave the crocodile-infested Mara River between Northern Serengeti and Kenya’s Maasai Mara.

July – September | Mara River Crossing Experience

This spectacular natural event typically takes place from July to October, with peak crossing activity often occurring between July and September, depending on rainfall patterns and grazing conditions. Each crossing is unpredictable, making every safari experience unique.
