Extreme African Wonders

5-Day NDUTU SPECTACULAR MIGRATION DEC-APRIL

Experience one of Africa’s greatest wildlife spectacles in the Ndutu region, where the world-famous Great Wildebeest Migration gathers on the lush southern plains of the Serengeti ecosystem. From December to April, vast herds of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles concentrate around the Ndutu area and the southern Serengeti, attracted by fresh grazing after the seasonal rains. This period is renowned for the dramatic calving season, when thousands of wildebeest calves are born daily, creating unforgettable wildlife encounters and intense predator action.

The Ndutu Migration Safari offers exceptional opportunities to witness newborn calves taking their first steps, large predator populations including lions, cheetahs, leopards, and hyenas, and breathtaking landscapes of short-grass plains, acacia woodlands, and seasonal lakes. February is generally considered the peak calving month, making this one of the most rewarding safari experiences in Tanzania

Safari Highlights

  • Witness the Great Wildebeest Migration in the Southern Serengeti and Ndutu region
  • Experience the spectacular calving season (January–March)
  • Observe thousands of newborn wildebeest calves

  • Birdwatching with numerous resident and migratory bird species

The concentration of animals, abundance of newborns, and stunning green landscapes create one of the most rewarding safari adventures in Africa.
